Today sees the world wide release of Steven Wilson's 4th solo album Hand. Cannot. Erase.

Already receiving incredible glowing reviews, with UK newspaper The Guardian awarding the album 5 stars and calling it “a smart, soulful and immersive work of art”.

More reviews can be found here :

German magazine Visions declare it to be “The Wall for the Facebook generation”, while in Holland Lust for Life Magazine say it’s ‘Music of the highest order’ 5/5, Aardschok Magazine award it 95/100, and Counterculture.nl give the album 97/100 calling it ‘…a contemporary masterpiece…’

In the UK, Classic Rock magazine say Hand. Cannot. Erase. is “A tour de force of experimental music making” and that “lovers of rock both classic and current will be blown away”.

Of course the centerpiece of the release is the limited edition 180 page book which is now sold out !

The pre-order is now up for the new Steven Wilson album "Hand. Cannot. Erase" And of course there will be a beautifully crafted special edition book which has been a great collaboration with Hajo, Carl and me. I think I took around 5000 pictures, analog + digital, and condensed it down to about 1500 final images, all very different from my previous work. This is really something special so get your hands on it while you can.

You can pre-order the deluxe version here and also in vinyl and the usual formats.

The album follows the critical and commercial success of 2013's 'The Raven That Refused To Sing' (Germany #3, UK# 28) and an international run of sold-out shows, including London's prestigious Royal Albert Hall.

Here's a little promo image I did of SW earlier this year while recording the new album.

With the announcement of the new album there is also a bunch of tour dates. Stay tuned for more goodies and updates very soon.

Here is what SW says about the news :

"I’m happy to announce that my new album “Hand. Cannot. Erase.” is now finished and will be released on Kscope in February. More news and previews soon, including information on how to pre-order a very special deluxe edition.

In the meantime the first tour dates in the UK and Europe are confirmed, see below. We are currently developing a show that I hope will raise the bar both musically and visually from previous tours, with a set list based around the new album, as well as casting the net further back into my songwriting past for a few surprises."

Theo Travis has a new book out from two+ years of extensive touring with Steven Wilson. The book features diaries and lots of images taken by Lasse Hoile, Diana Nitschke, Joe del Tufo and Claudia Hahn.

"This is a glossy 136 page deluxe and limited edition book of the 2012 Grace for Drowning and 2013 The Raven That Refused to Sing tour blogs written by band member Theo Travis. The book includes all of Theo's fly-on-the-wall diaries written on the road, many of which first appeared on Facebook.
The entries are revised and expanded for this unique souvenir and additional entries appear for example for the Loreley Festival 2013 and the Australian tour of October 2013. Finally back home (sorta) after an amazing tour around South America and shooting a fantastic live concert with Steven Wilson on the Grace For Drowning Tour in Mexico City with an amazing band.

Would like to thank my great great crew, my amazing DOP Sébastien Guerra, Edna, the two JC's, our hard working road crew, Dave, Andy, TH and of course SW and the lovely amazing band for making this special night happen and getting it all on film...not to forget the great crowd making the night even more special and one of the best cities on the planet !

The release is scheduled for this fall on Blu Ray and DVD.

A bunch of pictures will be up soon from Mexico and around South America, check back later…The trip was fast and too short for such amazing places, earthquakes and all, will be back soon.

Finally back home (sorta) after an amazing tour around South America and shooting a fantastic live concert with Steven Wilson on the Grace...
